He fears her rejection if she discovers the murder-for-hire scheme. The two spend time together at Carolyn's farm and Matt discovers peace and acceptance for the first time in his life. In a bizarre twist, however, Sylvia gives away the desk containing Matthew's confession. The desk goes to auction and Matt races against time to find the desk and the confession hidden away in a concealed compartment. Will the written contract he made with Sylvia be discovered by a dogged policeman, Detective Robinson?
